A project exploring how art is employed in 'regeneration' and who it really ‘helps’. This sign was carried through inner-cityJohannesburg and I invited discussion from those who were arguing for art’s employment as a tool for social renewal, and from those who had been forced out of the neighbourhood due to gentrification. I guess this is related to a wider concern of mine about how art is employed, for whom, and if it can ever feasibly accomplish these goals.
